Support
One person, one inboxEmail tunestatusapp@gmail.com — that's the whole support system. It reaches the person who wrote the app. It isn't a 24/7 desk, so replies aren't instant, but every email gets read.
To get a useful answer on the first reply, tell us: your macOS version, your TuneStatus version (menu bar icon → Open TuneStatus…; the version is in the bottom-right corner of that window), which music app you're using, and what you expected to happen instead.
Common things, answered right here
My status isn't updating
Check the menu bar icon first: if TuneStatus isn't signed in to Slack, sign in again. If it is, make sure macOS granted it permission to control your music app (System Settings → Privacy & Security → Automation), and that you haven't set a Slack status yourself — your own status always wins, by design.
I bought Pro and Apple Music still isn't showing
Right after checkout the app watches for the purchase every few seconds for about ten minutes; after that it rechecks every six hours. Quitting and reopening TuneStatus forces a check immediately. Pro is tied to the Slack account that bought it, so make sure the app is signed in to that same account. Still stuck? Email us with the address you used at checkout and we'll look up the payment.
Can I get a refund?
Pro unlocks the moment payment clears, so sales are final — see the terms of service. Try the free Spotify version first: Pro reads the Music app the same way, over the same Slack connection, so if Spotify works on your Mac the only new step is macOS asking once for permission to read Music. And if you've paid and Pro isn't unlocking, that's a bug — email us and we'll sort it out.
How do I uninstall it?
Click Disconnect Slack… in the menu bar — it clears the status it set and
deletes the one file it stores (~/.tunestatus-mac.json). Then quit the app
and drag it to the Trash. No account to close — there never was one.
Does it work with Tidal / YouTube Music / Amazon Music?
No — those apps don't expose what they're playing on a Mac, so nothing can read them. The music apps page has the full list.
